Intervention Heat Map of Germany's Climate Change Adaptation portfolio and an intervention/outcome meta-analysis
-
Germany

The main purpose of the intervention heat map was to map the funding and number of projects that the German Development Cooperation (GDC) is spending on adaptation to the impacts of climate change (CCA) in each of the intervention/outcome cells of the existing evidence gap map (EGM) on CCA. The main purpose of the meta-analysis is to statistically analyse the effect size of one specific intervention/outcome in the existing EGM on CCA.

Main Tasks
  • Provide evidence on which CCA interventions, outcomes, and sectors receive GDC funding;
  • Compare and contrast this evidence with the evidence in the existing EGM on CCA;
  • Promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing among the BMZ and implementing organizations;
  • Inform the future formulation and implementation of GDC CCA financing and activities.
  • Provide evidence on the effect size of an intervention/outcome that is relevant for the GDC.
Main Outputs
  • A draft coding matrix with the coded GDC’s bilateral projects on adaptation using the provided OECD CRS dataset;
  • A final coding matrix with all coded GDC’s bilateral projects on adaptation;
  • A draft report of the intervention heat map that details the findings of the intervention heat map and compares them with the evidence in the existing EGM on CCA.
  • A final report of the intervention heat map.
  • A meta-analysis of one specific intervention/outcome in the existing EGM on CCA;
  • A meta-analysis of one specific intervention/outcome in the existing EGM on CCA;
  • A final report of the meta-analysis.
