Climate change creates risk and volatility, climate finance helps assess, mitigate, and be resilient to those risks. In order to tackle climate change and achieve a transition to a clean and resilient economy, an extraordinary mobilization of finance has to be made. Our mission is to accelerate sustainable, climate-smart investments, and integrate climate considerations into financial products, services and policies.
There is a wide range of institutions providing financing for climate change mitigation and adaptation, such as the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Adaptation Fund, and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). Developing proposals for such multi-lateral and bi-lateral climate finance providers requires an in-depth knowledge of the specific selection criteria that the targeted funder applies. A sustainable financial mechanism and business model which can mobilize transformational impacts and sustainable development co-benefits are only two key aspects that need to be clearly demonstrated to make a climate finance application successful.
Our solid expertise in climate finance is based on a series of climate change activities and collaborations with international entities. AAE and our experts have worked on climate finance in several regions, some of the countries where we have experience are Haiti, Equatorial Guinea, Paraguay, Suriname, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Chile, Honduras, Colombia, Panama, and Mexico.
